It seemed they were really looking forward to it as it was their first soba noodle making experience.
Starting with watering, the two cooking-loving friends commented, “The soba smells nice,” and “My hands don’t quite move the way I want them to,” but gradually became more accustomed to the technique.
When it came to “rolling,” they said, “It’s interesting to see the shape change from round to square,” and were able to stretch the noodles so skillfully that it was hard to believe it was their first time.
Now it was time to boil and eat the freshly made soba.
