We held a soba noodle making demonstration and soba noodle lunch at Largo Sakuragi 2times for two weeks.
We held a soba noodle-making demonstration and soba meal for 20 people each time at Largo Sakuragi in Wakaba Ward, Chiba City, on Sunday, September 21st and Sunday, September 28th, 2025.
Everyone seemed to have arrived earlier than the scheduled time, excited to attend.
As the soba-making began, participants commented with excitement, “I love soba noodles,” and “It’s fun to watch them gradually change shape.”
They got up close to the kneaded dough and cut soba noodles, touching them a little (through the bags), and commenting with great interest, “They’re so pretty!” and “I’m getting hungry now.”
Everyone immediately boiled the freshly made soba noodles and began eating them. Everyone commented, “They’re freshly made and boiled, and delicious!” Even those who don’t usually eat much soba finished them all.
One participant said, “It reminds me of my mother, who used to make soba noodles a lot.”
It was truly wonderful.
We would also like to thank the staff for their cooperation. We hope to hold another fun event like this again.
